FREEDOM FRIDAY – IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MESS
Freedom Friday – in the middle of the mess. Hello, my lovely fiber freedom friends. In addition to a small devotion today, I would like to draw your attention to a wonderful Christian author, Sheila Walsh, who will be starting a new online Bible study commencing June 4, 2018. I will talk a little more about that in a bit.
I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! — Psalm 27:13-14 ESV
In Laurie’s, at Faithgateway, introduction of the upcoming Sheila Walsh new, online Bible study entitled “In The Middle of The Mess,” she talks about the messes of life. No matter the size of the mess, or what is going on in our life, our mess is not too big for God. One more time, our mess is not too big for God.
Sometimes we feel like things we may have done, said or even thought are big albatrosses around our necks and that there is no way anyone, especially God, could ever forgive us or love us. Unfortunately, for Christians, we don’t talk about the big oopsies or sin in our life. Sad, I know. The church environment can, at times, feel and be very judgmental and condemning. We wouldn’t dare talk about the pain we may be experiencing or the struggles we are having. But you know what, forget about what other people will think (I know, it’s hard to do), but we can do it. Let’s try to let go of what we think what someone else will think and just open up. First open up to God. Talk to him like He is your best friend, because he is. Faith to Faith devotional
This new, online study will give us a chance to “air our dirty laundry” in a safe place where there will be no condemnation, judgment or snide remarks. And it doesn’t matter if you are not a Christian – person having a personal relationship with the Lord – or if you have ever even talked to or thought about God. You come on and join us. You need this. We all need this.
Take a lot at Sheila’s short video introducing the new study.
You can find more information about the study and order your materials, here. I am looking forward to this new opportunity of learning and growing. As the event draws near (June 4, 2018), I will remind my fiber freedom friends to get ready and be prepared. It is my hope there will be growth and healing and we will be able to share insights gleamed from the study.
Until then, keep on workin’ those fibers and enjoy life!
